History Of Sweet Thoughts.
Before The Sweets.
The shop started its life as the old smithy. Where you go to get you horse shoded.
From then the old forge it was converted in to the sweet shop in 1957. Which is still here even to this day.

How We Got Mardys.
Although we have a local nick name "Mardys"due to the original owner who's name was Mrs Mardon.
Then came Mickey Mardy.

1980 Sweet Thoughts.
But as many have come to know it as Sweet Thoughts.
"Care free skaters enjoy some sweets"
Mr Stratton.
After 45 years we have lost our beloved Robin who has seen many generations of many families during his reign of the sweet shop on Eling Lane.
